We are pleased to announce that two works by Juanita students were selected by independent judges at the Lake Washington School District level to advance to the next round – the Washington State level of this year’s Reflections contest, "Within Reach".

Kudos to:

Adam D.C.B. Chen, 12th grade, who received the Outstanding Interpretation award, High School age group in Photography for his photograph "Almost There".

Angelyiah Lim, 9th grade, who received the Award of Merit, High School age group in Music Composition for her piano composition "Spring Tides".

In addition, a drawing by Simone Marrujo, 12th grade, entitled “Dreams Becoming Within Reach” was selected by the LWSD Council to be displayed at the February school board meeting and PTSA Founder’s Day luncheon.

Congratulations also to all the Juanita High School local finalists for participating in National PTA's distinguished and rewarding Reflections art program.  Their artwork and over 500 others from kindergartners through high school seniors were displayed at the annual LWSD Art Show on January 5, 2018.

The theme for the 2018-2019 Reflections art competition will be "Heroes Around Me".  It's not too early for next year's students to reflect creatively and start planning your entries in any of the six arts categories.
